The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) Internship Program 2025 is an exciting opportunity for youth and recent graduates passionate about environmental sciences, sustainable development, and youth engagement.
GLF, launched in 2013 by CIFOR-ICRAF with partners such as UNEP, the World Bank, and the Government of Germany, emphasizes meaningful inclusion of youth and marginalized stakeholders.
Internship Roles and Responsibilities
The GLF Internship Program offers multiple roles based on your expertise and interests.
1. Youth Program Team & Youth in Landscapes Initiative (YIL)
Support community-building and outreach for the YIL network.
Plan youth-related programs and activities.
Create social media content and lead volunteer teams.
Conduct research on youth leaders driving change.
2. GLFx Program Team
Assist in planning and implementing opportunities for “GLFx chapters.”
Build and engage online communities.
Create social media content and facilitate meetings.
3. Communication Team
Ideate, create, and schedule social media and multimedia content.
Support live event coverage and collaborate with influencers.
4. Knowledge Team
Curate and organize knowledge resources for GLF hybrid and digital events.
Coordinate with speakers and manage the Knowledge Hub library.
Eligibility Requirements
Enrolled in or recently graduated from an MSc or BSc program in relevant fields like Environmental Sciences or Political Science.
Experience in youth engagement, communication, or sustainable development is an asset.
Proficiency in English (Spanish, French, or Portuguese are added advantages).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Internship Details
Duration: 9 months (February–December 2025).
Location: Home-based, preferably in CET or similar time zones.
Compensation: Based on experience and location.
